A Port Stephens man who was allegedly bashed during a home invasion has been charged with drug possession.
Early yesterday morning, the 23-year-old was woken by five men at an Ocean Avenue home at Anna Bay.
One of the men allegedly assaulted him, while the others raided his home, stealing drugs, cash and a television.
They fled the scene and the man was taken to Tomaree Hospital with head lacerations.
Police searched the victim’s home and allegedly found cannabis, MDMA, ketamine, amphetamine, LSD, magic mushrooms and more.
The man’s been charged with 15 offences and was refused bail.
Police are still investigating the home invasion.
