In Round 8 of Newcastle and Hunter Rugby, Wanderers held out Nelson Bay at Number 2 Sportsground and Maitland stole the competition points from Singleton after a convincing win.
Meanwhile Uni defeated Southern Beaches while the Hawks kept Lake Macquarie scoreless.
