NEW LAMBTON WIN INAUGURAL LIFE WITHOUT BARRIERS CUP

In round 11 of the Women’s Premier League, South Wallsend upset Warners Bay 2-1 and Thornton beat the Mid North Coast three-nil.

Merewether easily accounted for Adamstown and New Lambton recovered to outclass Wallsend.

At The Gardens, the Red Devils made a bright start, Georgia Little with the opening goal But the visitors regained their composure, to claim a comprehensive victory.

It was a similar story at Warners Bay where Jenna Kingsley put the home side in front. But it was the away team that claimed three valuable points.
