A diamond python is among a number of items seized during a raid on a Hunter Valley home on Thursday.
Strike Force Raptor raided the property on Wollemi Peak Road at Bulga, where they uncovered a raft of weapons and ammunition, including three loaded rifles.
A number of other items including mobile phones and prohibited drugs were taken for forensic examination.
As part of the investigation, a 31-year-old man was charged with 28 offences including four counts of possessing a shortened firearm.
The man, who is a member of the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang, is due back in court today.
