DRIVER LEADS POLICE ON PURSUIT STRETCHING MORE THAN 80 KILOMETRES
A 33-year-old man has been charged over an early morning police pursuit in the state’s Northern Rivers.
Police will allege the man was behind the wheel of a stolen Toyota Corolla, which failed to stop for a random breath test at Casino at around 1 o’clock this morning.
A pursuit was commenced, with the car at times crossing to the wrong side of the road as it travelled through South Lismore, Nimbin and Uki.
Road spikes were eventually deployed, with the man arrested outside a service station on Buchanan Street at Murwillumbah.
He’s set to face Tweed Heads Local Court later today.
