GAV’S WEATHER | HAVE YOUR UMBRELLAS READY

A huge cloud band is stretching over much of eastern Australia, bringing with it decent rainfall from tomorrow.

Farmers should get some reprieve with the rain expected to stretch into the western part of the region before moving to the north-east of the state, and onto south-east Queensland Friday night.

This weekend the mercury will drop, with showers set to continue after the front passes.

But tonight it will be a little warmer with pre-frontal north-west winds ahead of the rain bearing front.
