COFFS FARMERS URGED TO PROMOTE CLEAN AND GREEN
North Coast farmers have been urged to promote their produce as “clean and green” to make the most of emerging markets in Asia.
The call came from one of the speakers at a one-day conference in Coffs Harbour, organised by the Federal Department of Agriculture.
“We need to maintain our green and clean image producing premium products so that we can get higher returns from the asian markets,” said commodity analyst Jammie Penm.
More than 100 farmers attending the conference were told the long term outlook for beef, dairy products, blueberries and macadamia nuts looks strong.
