Avoca’s Wade Carmichael has accepted his 2018 Rookie of the Year trophy, during the WSL Awards on the Gold Coast overnight.
Carmichael finished his sensational debut year on tour, ranked ninth.
“A huge thanks to everyone, especially my mum and dad for all their support. I can’t really believe I’m up here right now, but I’m stoked and 2019 is going to be unreal.”- Wade Carmichael.
The 2019 world tour begins at Snapper Rocks on Wednesday.
