BUSH FIRE DANGER PERIOD EXTENDED ACROSS THE NORTH COAST

It might be autumn, but the Rural Fire Service is warning we’re not out of the woods just yet.

The bushfire season has been extended for another month across the Far North Coast and Northern Rivers, due to unseasonal warmth.

Residents will need a permit to light a fire out in the open.

The bushfire danger period will be lifted on April 30.
