A record number of people jogged or walked their way along the Hastings River foreshore in Port Macquarie this morning to raise awareness and funds for dementia.
700 people took part in the 7.6-kilometre Memory Walk and Jog, which raised $10,000 for the local Dementia and Memory Community Centre.
Port Macquarie has the second highest number of dementia cases in New South Wales.
