Young people touched by cancer took some time to focus on the brighter things in life today, at the annual CanTeen Recreation Day in Newcastle.
The fun-filled event provides support to people aged between 12 and 24 years old, who’ve experienced the illness first-hand, or had family and friends affected by cancer.
Participants say it’s a good opportunity to share their experiences with others.
Each year more than 23,000 young people around the country have to deal with the challenge of the disease.
