SURFEST: CENTRAL COAST SURFERS DOMINATE PRO JUNIOR DIVISIONS

Finals day of Surfest’s Pro Junior had to be moved from Redhead to Catherine Hill Bay because of rough conditions, but that didn’t bother the Central Coast contingent in both divisions.
Avoca surfer Caleb Tancred started as favourite in the men’s final and he didn’t disappoint.
He bagged an early seven point two, then scored a late eight to wrap up the title.
Jaggar Bartholomew, son of legendary Aussie surfer, Wayne, finished fourth.
In the women’s decider, North Shelly’s Molly Picklum notched an eight point seven to establish an early lead.
America’s Alyssa Spencer gave her plenty to think about with a six point five and a seven point six, but Picklum did enough to claim the crown.
