MAN SHOT DURING PORT MACQUARIE HOME INVASION

A 21-year-old man is recovering in hospital, after he was allegedly shot during a home invasion at Port Macquarie.

Police say they attended a home on Chisholm Court on Tuesday morning, following reports three men has forced entry into the house and assaulted the occupants.

Upon arrival, they found a man with a wound to his abdomen and head.

He was taken to Port Macquarie Hospital, where it was discovered he’d been shot.

Officers are also investigating reports of a second home invasion, which occurred just three hours earlier on Moondarra Terrace.

No-one was injured.
