MORE THAN 40 PEOPLE CAUGHT WITH DRUGS AT ‘FESTIVAL OF THE SUN’

More than 40 people were caught with drugs during Port Macquarie’s three-day Festival of the Sun.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with supply and possession of a prohibited drug, after he was allegedly found with 55 M-D-M-A capsules.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Port Macquarie local court on January 9.

Other alleged offenders were issued field court attendance notices, infringement notices, cannabis cautions and warnings.

On-site medical services treated about 40 festival-goers for various issues.
