MAN SENTENCED OVER LAGUNA SIEGE

A man who fired several shots during a lengthy standoff with police in the Hunter Valley last year, will likely be released from jail within two weeks.

Andrew Kenneth Reading was today handed a minimum 19-month jail term in Newcastle District Court, in a case described as “unusual”.
