MAN INJURED IN CENTRAL COAST MOUNTAIN BIKE ACCIDENT

A 52-year-old man has been flown to hospital with suspected spinal injuries, after a mountain biking accident on the Central Coast.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the Ourimbah State Forest early on Friday afternoon, with the injured man treated by the helicopter’s clinical team and paramedics.

Members from the Volunteer Rescue Association assisted to transport the injured man to the waiting helicopter.

He was flown to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment.
