TWO HUNTER PLAYERS SET TO LINE UP FOR SHIELD CLASH

The last time two Hunter cricketers played Sheffield Shield for New South Wales was back in 2009,  when Mark Cameron and Burt Cockley lined up at Number One Sportsground.

That could change tomorrow, with former Belmont fast bowler Greg West selected in the squad alongside Jason Sangha, for the clash with Western Australia in Perth.

The left-arm quick played in the Newcastle District competition between 2010 and 2013, and has since represented Adelaide in the Big Bash.

West is a big chance of making his debut in the Baggy Blue, with Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins being rested ahead of the first test against India.
