PROJECT TO TACKLE YOUTH HOMELESSNESS IN HUNTER

Several of the region’s housing, education and community organisations today showed their commitment to help tackle youth homelessness.

The Hunter Foyer Project will provide affordable housing, education and support for disadvantaged people aged between 16 and 25.

“We think there is something like 400 young people through the Hunter either couch surfing with friends or living with somebody that is not their actual home, a lot of them through no fault of their own.” said Dawn McLoughlin, Chair of Hunter Youth 2020.
