FIERY TRUCK CRASH: THREE PEOPLE MAKE A LUCKY ESCAPE

Three people are lucky to be alive after a truck and four-wheel-drive towing a caravan collided near the Queensland border this morning.

Emergency services were called to Tumbulgum, just after 11 A-M to find both vehicles fully engulfed in flames.

Luckily everyone inside managed to escape before the fire took hold.

Three people were treated for minor injuries before being transferred to Tweed District Hospital.

Traffic diversions were in place but Tweed Valley Way has now reopened.
