The Imperial Hotel has jumped on the ID scanner bandwagon and will start operating one this weekend.
It joins the Albert Hotel, which implemented a system last week.
Two other hotels in Tamworth’s CBD – the Post Office and Tudor – will also start using the technology next weekend in a bid to drive down bad behaviour at popular night spots.
The scanners will be linked and if a patron is barred from one venue, they’ll be barred from the others as well.
