Two men that escaped from jail in the Northern Tablelands have been recaptured.
The men, aged 49 and 32, were reported missing from the minimum security facility on the Gwydir Highway near Glen Innes, about 4.30pm on Friday.
The pair were apprehended in a house near Beardy Street in Armidale, around 10am yesterday, following a short car pursuit on the New England Highway
The 49-year-old is facing a range of charges, including escaping lawful custody, larceny, and driving unregistered and uninsured car, while the 32-year-old was also charged with escaping lawful custody.
