AMBULANCE PATIENT TO BE CHARGED FOR ASSAULTING CENTRAL COAST PARAMEDICS

A woman is expected to be charged with assault, after allegedly attacking a paramedic en route to Wyong Hospital.

The 54-year-old was picked up by first responders at Wyong train station at 7:30 last night and allegedly became abusive inside the emergency vehicle.

She’s accused of striking a 26-year-old female ambulance officer in the chest, inflicting soft tissue wounds.

It’s understood the woman was intoxicated at the time.

She was sedated upon arrival at the hospital.
