Super Rugby is set to debut in Newcastle next year, with the Waratahs to bring their round 7 game to the city.
The clash against the Sunwolves from Japan will be played at McDonald Jones Stadium on March 29.
The move comes as the Waratahs’ traditional home, the Sydney Football Stadium is redeveloped.
Other venues already confirmed to hosts the Tahs during the 2019 season include the new Western Sydney Stadium and Brookvale Oval.
The Sydney Cricket Ground is set to host the remaining fixtures.
