AMELIA MAZZEI AND COOPER WILKINSON CLAIM TOP ACCOLADES AT NIAS AWARDS

The Northern Inland Academy of Sport held its ‘night of nights’ on Saturday, where the prestigious Athlete of the Year was announced.

Armidale para track athlete, Amelia Mazzei, claimed the female award, following her outstanding year competing at both junior and open level.

Meanwhile, Gunnedah tennis ace Cooper Wilkinson was named the male Athlete of the Year.

The talented player is currently ranked 11th in Australia for his age, and third in New South Wales.
