The eastern end of Rangari Road at Gunnedah could soon receive a spruce-up.
Tamworth and Gunnedah Shire Councils have submitted funding applications to the state government for an upgrade, to improve safety and freight routes across the region.
“There’s a lot of traffic on that road and of course it’s growing as our agriculture and our resources sector are continuing to grow. We’re seeing more and more traffic in that area,” Gunnedah Shire Mayor, Cr Jamie Chaffey.
Meanwhile, Gunnedah is partnering with Liverpools Plains Shire Council to deliver upgrades along Mystery Road.
