MAN STABLE AFTER BEING SHOT IN ARMIDALE

Police are investigating a shooting in Armidale in the early hours of Thursday morning when a 24-year-old man was approached by two men along Niagara Street.
Officers say one of the men drew a gun and shot the 24-year-old in the leg before fleeing.
The wounded man went to a service station on Queen Elizabeth Drive before he was taken to Armidale hospital for treatment.
He’s reported to be in a stable condition.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
