A 19-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly kidnapped a 24-year-old woman in Tamworth yesterday.
It’s believed the teenager was armed with a knife and forced his way into a Tamworth home at around 5am.
Police say the woman was forced into a car, which was stopped a short time later on Goonoo Goonoo Road.
The woman suffered minor facial injuries.
The man was charged with a number of offences including kidnapping – he’ll front court next month.
