17 YEAR OLD GRANTED BAIL AFTER BEING CHARGED WITH CHILD EXPLOITATION AND WEAPONS OFFENCES

A teenager has been granted strict bail after he was arrested and charged late yesterday.

Oxley police allege they uncovered child exploitation material and weapons during a search at a Quirindi home.

The 17-year-old faces five charges, including possessing an unregistered firearm-pistol and possessing child abuse material.

Under the bail restrictions, he cannot own a mobile phone, use social media or be in the presence of a child under 16, without an adult present.
