APPEAL FOR WITNESSES FOLLOWING MID NORTH COAST CRASH

Motorists who witnessed a fiery crash which claimed the life of a man on the Mid North Coast are being urged to come forward.

Police were called to the Pacific Highway at Lake Innes at around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, after a car was found alight next to the north bound lanes.

The body of a man was located nearby.

Initial investigations suggest the car left the road and struck trees before rolling.

It’s now hoped the driver of a white Hyundai i30, with partial registration of DVH which was seen travelling south near Sancrox, as well as two motorcyclists which were seen near the crash to come forward.

A number of reports suggest the Hyundai was travelling on the wrong side of the road, however it’s unknown if this was related to the accident.
