Helping those less fortunate, is now as simple as recycling… with St Vincent De Paul now opening its own bulk return-and-earn collection point at Cardiff.
The centre allows residents to drop-off cans and bottles, then directly donate their refund, if they choose.
“It’s the only one in the Hunter at the moment. We do have plans to open up another one further down the line, which will cater for the Upper Hunter. That money is used locally – it goes back into the homeless, it goes back into a lot of our other programs as well.”
