PADDY RYAN ENDORSES TAMWORTH’S SCULLY PARK AS SUPER RUGBY VENUE

The New South Wales Country Eagles will travel to Mudgee this weekend, where they’ll host Melbourne Rising in the latest round of the National Rugby Competition.

Captained by Tamworth’s Paddy Ryan, the Eagles skipper says the country boys will have their work cut-out.

“We’re certainly up against it again, against another team that’s been together for a long time in comparison to ourselves, but the boys won’t shy away from a challenge.”

Tamworth will host an NRC match in coming weeks, however Ryan believes the town has the capacity to accommodate even larger fixtures.

“Not trying to sound too biased, but Tamworth has got a great track at Scully Park, which I think could host Super Rugby and Mudgee certainly has the facilities to be able to host a Super Rugby game.”
