The Salvation Army’s annual doorkock has been hailed a success, with more the $180,000 raised in the Hunter so far.
Around a thousand volunteers spent the weekend collecting donations for the Red Shield Appeal.
By the end of June, the charity hopes to have raised $320,000 locally.
