A Sri Lankan man has been charged with terrorism-related offences in Sydney, following an investigation by police and security agencies.
The 25-year-old was arrested by members of the NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team at Kensington in Sydney’s East, at around 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon.
Following investigations, police searched a unit at nearby Zetland, seizing a number of electronic items.
Police have moved quickly to assure the community there is no information to suggest a current or impending threat.
