Electoral boundaries could soon shift in the Northern Regions following a population increase in Ballina.
Under the proposal from the New South Wales Electoral Commission, some locals there could vote in the seat of Lismore at the next state election.
Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin has welcomed the proposed changes.
“My attitude is I will continue to represent whoever’s in the electorate as strong and hard and fierce as I do now – that won’t change,” she said.
