A long-established nursing home at Booragul is about to get a $41 million upgrade.

The C-A Brown aged care facility, which is more than 60 years old, will be expanded to include 126 new rooms, including 18 catering for patients with dementia.

A day therapy centre, chapel and a cafe will also be added to the facility.
