FIFTH PLACE FINISH FOR LAKE MACQUARIE’S WILL RYAN

Will Ryan’s dream of winning a third straight 470 World Championship is over, with the Lake Macquarie sailor finishing in fifth place.

Ryan and crewmate Mathew Belcher were a medal chance heading into last night’s final races in Denmark but were ultimately off the pace.

There are still some locals in contention brother and sister duo Nathan and Haylee Outteridge have rocketed into the lead in the Nacra class.
