A young boy is lucky to have escaped serious injury after being hit by a car in Forster last night.
The 13 year old was riding along Strand Street on a motorised push bike when he ventured into the path of an oncoming car.
The boy suffered a broken arm and was flown to Newcastle by the Westpac rescue helicopter as a precaution.
Police say they won’t be laying any charges as it appears the boy was at fault.
