Sam Kerr again proved the hero for the Matildas in their first game at the Tournament of Nations in the US.
An early own-goal and a header from Tameka Butt left Brazil scrambling before superstar Kerr sealed a 3-1 victory.
The Aussies will continue their title defence against the host nation, on Monday morning.
