HUNTER WATER REFUNDS INCORRECTLY CHARGED CUSTOMERS

Hunter Water has been forced to refund thousands of land owners after incorrectly charging them over a five year period.

Owners of vacant land were charged sewerage related fees that didn’t apply to their properties.

A total of $1.4-million will be refunded with the average owner receiving $79 per property.
