ADELAIDE ARCHBISHOP PHILIP WILSON WILL APPEAL CONVICTION

Adelaide’s Catholic Archbishop, Philip Wilson, has just announced he will appeal his conviction for concealing child sexual abuse.

The 67-year-old – who was given a custodial sentence yesterday, says he’s aware of growing calls for him to quit… including from the Prime Minister.

“I’m surprised he hasn’t resigned….Clearly following the result of the case…I think he should resign.”

Wilson says he’ll only resign if his appeal is unsuccessful.
