AWABAKAL WOMEN’S GROUP READY FOR MASS PROTEST

An Awabakal women’s group says it’s ready to stage a mass protest, in a bid to save a sacred site at Lake Macquarie.

Members fear the critical stage of a nearby housing project is about to begin – and that, while a buffer zone is in place, it won’t be enough to protect the Butterfly Cave.

  1. Mr rouche stay away from the butterfly cave. Its our sacret sight. You have enough money in ur bank account to respect our history and culture n give us space around the cave needed to protect it.
