A 36-year-old man will face Belmont Local Court today, charged over the alleged indecent assault of an 11-year-old girl in the Hunter last month.
The girl was walking along George Booth Drive, at Stockrington, in a yellow and blue fairy costume on August 22 when a man spoke to her and offered her a lift.
It’s alleged the girl was indecently assaulted before she got our of the car and ran away.
A short time later a passing motorist stopped to render assistance and contacted emergency services.
The accused was arrested yesterday and charged with aggravated indecent assault.
Police also searched a home at Argenton and seized a vehicle at another location.
