McINTYRE JUST MISSES WORLD CUP MEDAL

Rob McIntyre has finished seventh in the final World Cup event of the season – held under lights in Slovenia.

The Avoca paddler went into the final as the third fastest qualifier and improved slightly, stopping the clock in 31 point four-two.

He missed gold by just over a second, and was a fraction off claiming the bronze.

It completes a superb campaign, including a career-best fifth placing, at the recent World Championships in Switzerland.
