Pedestrian safety is set to be improved on one of Tamworth’s busiest roads.
The roundabout at the intersection of Marius and Fitzroy Streets will soon be removed and replaced with new traffic lights.
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson says installation of the new signals will begin next month – the road pavement will also be upgraded.
The new traffic lights will also allow the current pedestrian crossing on Marius Street, near the conservatorium to be removed.
