LEGENDARY BOXER TROY WATERS FAREWELLED

Central Coast boxer Troy Waters has been farewelled at a touching service in Green Point this afternoon.

The 53-year-old tragically passed away earlier this month, after a four-year battle with leukaemia.

Waters achieved plenty in the ring – challenging for the super welterweight title three times between 1989 and 1994.

He was also inducted into the Australian Boxing Hall of Fame in 2009.

He will be remembered as a legend of the sport.
