MAN CHARGED OVER SERVICE STATION ROBBERY AT LAKE MACQUARIE
A 20-year-old man has been charged, after he allegedly threatened staff with a knife during a service station robbery at Gateshead at Lake Macquarie.
It’s understood the man entered the Pacific Highway business around 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon, allegedly threatening a staff member and demanding cash.
The staff member escaped uninjured through a backdoor.
Police later located the Gateshead man at an address in nearby Windale, where he was arrested.
He was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon and breach of bail.
