There was a couple of familiar faces throwing their hats in the ring at Casino Beef Week this morning.
New South Wales Deputy Premier John Barilaro, Member for Clarence Chris Gulaptis and Member for Lismore Thomas George assisted with the cattle competition and mingled with locals.
But there was a serious side to today’s visit.. With Mr Barilaro saying there’s potential to grow the sector.
“With the export opportunity already amongst us it is a great place to look at investment opportunities in agriculture and that’s what today’s all about, a celebration, showcasing the Clarence and of coarse the North Coast.”
The festival wraps up on Tuesday.
