A truck driver is lucky to be alive after a close call with an oncoming heavy vehicle.
His truck careered off the road and into an embankment on the New England Highway near Wallabadah.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 6am after reports of a truck roll over.
The driver was taken to Tamworth Hospital in a stable condition.
