14-YEAR-OLD ALLEGEDLY ROBS ANOTHER TEEN OF HIS BIKE AT KNIFE POINT IN WOODBERRY

A teenager is set to front court today following an alleged armed robbery at Woodberry.

Police say a 14-year-old boy approached another 14-year-old boy on a bicycle at a skate park on Lawson Avenue late yesterday afternoon.

One of the boys allegedly produced a knife, pushed the rider off his bike, before stealing it.

Police were notified at 5:30pm, and by 9:30pm Hunter Police had arrested a teen at a Thornton home.

He was taken to Maitland Police Station where he was refused bail and charged with armed robbery with an offensive weapon.
