A bright blue koala has been revealed as the official mascot for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
Named Borobi, from the indigenous word for koala, the keen surfer made a grand entrance this morning by being winched from a hovering helicopter into the arms of lifesavers at Burleigh Heads.
Borobi will now be tasked with selling millions of dollars in official games merchandise.
